Legal Terms & ConditionsLast Updated: July 21, 2026

Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before installing or using the TabDeck browser extension or web landing page.

Personal License

Granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use TabDeck for individual or workspace productivity.

Local Data Ownership

You control your exported JSON configurations. Because data is stored offline, you are responsible for maintaining local backups.

Provided "As-Is"

TabDeck is delivered "As-Is" during open beta with continuous stability updates and features.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, unpacking, or utilizing the TabDeck browser extension or visiting tabdeck web software, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please refrain from installing or using the software.

2. License & Permitted Use

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, TabDeck grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the extension on compatible Web Browsers (including Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave, and Chromium-based browsers) for your personal or internal business productivity.

You agree NOT to:

  • Distribute modified, malicious, or tampered copies of the extension binaries.
  • Attempt to inject unauthorized tracking or malware scripts into the local extension code.
  • Sublicense, sell, or rent the TabDeck brand assets or software without prior written authorization.

3. User Content & Local Data Responsibility

TabDeck operates on a 100% client-side architecture. All scratchpad notes, custom link tiles, and search engine shortcuts created inside your new tab deck remain stored exclusively in your browser local storage (chrome.storage.local).

Backup Notice

Because we do not store your data on remote servers, clearing your browser storage or removing the extension will delete your local configurations. We recommend using the built-in JSON Export feature to back up your custom workspace settings periodically.

4. Intellectual Property

All rights, titles, and interests in and to TabDeck, including source code, visual designs, UI component layouts, logos, branding assets, and documentation, are and remain the exclusive property of TabDeck and its licensors.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

TABDECK IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPATIBLE WITH ALL FUTURE BROWSER RELEASES.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL TABDECK, ITS DEVELOPERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, OR PROFIT ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE EXTENSION.

7. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of TabDeck following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those updates.

8. Pro License (Coming Soon)

Pro offers flexible payment options: Monthly ($9/mo), Yearly with 20% annual discount ($86.40/yr), or Lifetime one-time payment ($199). Waitlist members receive a 50% starting offer discount on all plans (Monthly at $4.50/mo, Yearly at $43.20/yr, Lifetime at $99.50). Licenses are non-transferable.
